From advocacy to anchor replacement to trail building to our equity and inclusion efforts—we’re the team that keeps the crags open for you and makes your New River Gorge climbing experience as safe as possible. Have you fallen on a bolt or clipped a top anchor at the New River Gorge? Guess how it got there. Guess who built the trail you hiked. Guess who advocates for you with land managers. We can do these things only because, one, we are 100% volunteer driven, and two, because we rely on the generosity of climbers like you.
All this month, we’re raising money to continue our efforts, and we have a giant incentive. To encourage sustaining, monthly donations, an anonymous local family (who are themselves monthly donors), have offered a 4:1, one-time match IF we can build a foundation of $500 per month in sustaining donations. That’s a one-time donation of $2000, if enough of us come together to donate just $500 per month!
Can you help out with a sustaining, monthly donation of just $10 or more? That’s less than a Netflix subscription—to keep the crags in and around the New accessible and the bolts you clip shiny and strong. But let’s sweeten the pot, shall we?While supplies last, become a sustaining donor to the tune of $10/month or more and we’ll send you an NRAC hat. You choose, trucker’s cap or pom-pom beanie. Pony up at $20/month or more and we’ll send you both. Go all in at $35/month or more and we’ll send you both hats, plus an NRAC Organic chalk bag.
If you’re not in a position to become a sustaining donor, don’t worry. You can still help. We’ll be posting on Facebook (@NRAC) and Instagram (@nrac.official) all month. Please follow, like, and share our stuff!
The NRAC Rocktober Fundraiser starts now and runs through the end of the month. Let’s do this!
