Announcement:

Well folks, there will not be a New River Rendezvous in 2012. The reasons are numerous, but one stands out as especially important. We do not have use of our historical venue, Burnwood, this year. When it became apparent that this was the case we began to search for a substitute. We found one that had a lot of potential but it’s on private property and it’s 8 miles up the road. As many of you are aware, planning and executing the New River Rendezvous has always been challenging, and with additional permit requirements and 16 miles of extra driving round trip, well, the straw threatened to break the camel’s back, so to speak.

The upshot is that aiming for a 2013 return gives the core organizers a much needed year off. We’ll use this time to re-secure Burnwood and plan a Rendezvous #10 that will blow the doors off of pretty much everything in the world that has doors.
