The New River Alliance has been awarded the 2010 Adopt a Crag of the Year Award by REI and the Access Fund. This award was given in large part due to the outstanding work that NRAC and many, many volunteers did on the week-long Junk Yard Trail Riser Project. 2010 was a spectacular year for NRAC projects in the New River Gorge area. We couldn't have done it without a tremendous amount of volunteer support - thanks everybody!

Among the varied projects from 2010:

• Bubba City Sign Boards and Fencing
• Bridge Buttress Steps
• Formation of NRG Search and Rescue Group
• American Alpine Club acquisition of land for climbing campground
• On-going Anchor Replacement Efforts
