New River Gorge National River is recruiting for volunteers who have an interest in working with and teaching area high school youth how to rock climb in the gorge. Volunteers must be experienced climbers with knowledge of climbing and repelling within the New River Gorge. The volunteers will be asked to assist the park’s certified climbing guides to setup climbing and repel lines and provide delay for the youth while climbing or repelling. The park needs three volunteers for each of the following days:

Thursday, June 24 – setup by 12:30, working with youth 12:30 - 4:00
Tuesday, July 13 – setup by 12:30, working with youth 12:30 - 4:00
