The Kaymoor areas are located on the Southern Rim of the Gorge. They offer some of the best sport climbs in the region.
Roger's Rocky Top Retreat
Access:
From Highway 19, drive through downtown Fayetteville on Court St. for 0.8 miles. Veer left onto Gatewood Road, which is directly across from the D+L Packette (aka Sherry’s Beer City). Drive 2.0 miles down Gatewood Road, then turn left onto Kaymoor Road at a sign that says Kaymoor #1. Exactly 1 mile down this road is Roger’s Rocky Top Retreat Campground. Parking at Roger’s costs one dollar, unless you’re camping there. Just drop it in the box if he doesn’t come out and greet you. Parking at the end of the road is free. The Kaymoor Miner’s trail that leaves the parking lot at Roger’s Campground leads to the Hole, First Buttress, and Rico Suave climbing areas. The Butcher’s Branch Trailhead at the end of the road leads to the Butcher’s Branch and Seven-Eleven climbing areas.
